argument has now been confirmed by Defra,
who say they will be writing to Watford Borough Council, to make them
aware of the seriousness of this invasive weed. |

| There's a couple of simple
messages here. Don't make something a central plank of your
administration unless you are sure it works and you are able to deliver
it properly. And if people start to grumble, have the humility to admit
there may be faults, and try to set them right. People who complain
provide a valuable resource which is always unwise to ignore. You might
just end up looking very, very silly! PS Make sure your name is hard to spell, and never trust those who are so impolite as to spell it wrong. |
