Mr Gough
I am afraid I am still having difficulties understanding if the Green Route is being reviewed, and if so how that is being achieved. In today's letters to the Watford Observer Councillor Tarry writes that "we've embarked on a major review", and "... we have not finished the review". Yet ten days ago, you unequivocally stated that the route was not going to be reviewed.
Am I to understand that there is some difference of opinion between the council and its officers on this matter?
I append your earlier message for reference.
Yours

I haven't seen the letter as it appears in the Observer but saw a copy as it was sent. It talks about us having listened to the views of residents, car drivers, motorcyclists and so on. It goes on to say that 'we are considering the introduction of a package of improvements to the scheme'.
That is the stage at which we are. I therefore stand by my contention that it is incorrect to say that the project is 'to be reviewed'. That process is well under way.
